Leadership Institutes

AMSA and the AMSA Foundation educate dozens of students every year through our Leadership Institutes

Typically held over three days, Institutes are organized around a specific health topic.  Students from around the country gather to learn about the topic, action they can take in their local communities or at the national level, and the role of physicians in the particular topic.  Over the past ten years, hundreds of students from virtually all U.S. medical schools have taken part in the Leadership Institutes.

• Community and Public Health
• Microbicides
• Global Health
• Women’s Empowerment
• Universal Health Care
• Political Leadership

For more information on the LTP, contact Caitlin Phelps, Director of the Leadership University, by email or by telephone at 703-620-6600 x204.
